The 300mm black heavy-grade star picket carries the most steel of our 300mm range — at 2.04 kg/m it's noticeably beefier, takes repeated heavy blows from a post driver without buckling, stays straight and firm in compacted clay, rocky subsoil, and hard-fill sites where a lighter picket would wander. Ideal for high-tension silt fence on steep embankments, commercial erosion-control applications where inspectors expect the fence to hold under a good rain event, heavy wire mesh support in rough terrain, and any short-post application that needs to resist serious lateral load. ### Why go heavy at 300mm?
