## 300mm Black Star Picket — Light Grade | The Star Guys When you don't need a sledgehammer solution, the light-grade 300mm black star picket is your mate. At 1.58 kg/m it's the nimblest option in our 300mm range — easy to hand-drive into soft or loamy ground without breaking a sweat, and compact enough to handle in tight garden spaces where full-length pickets are overkill. The 300mm length was purpose-built for shallow-drive applications: garden edging, herb and veggie bed borders, decorative wire panel anchors, climbing plant and trellis supports, and temporary silt fence installations on civil and landscaping sites where the geofabric only needs a light hand to stay put. ### Why light grade? Light grade uses a thinner steel section than our medium and heavy options. Easy to drive by hand with a standard post driver or hammer. Not designed for hard clay or rocky ground — step up to medium or heavy for that. ### Black bitumen coating Bituminous tar impregnation — the classic matt-black finish on every Aussie building site. Forms a moisture barrier between the steel and the ground, resisting rust through Australian seasons.
